Burn Ban in Olmsted County ended at 8 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2023
OLMSTED COUNTY, Minn. - Olmsted County Sheriff Kevin Torgerson, in consultation with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Forestry Division and Fire Chiefs in Olmsted County, has removed the burn ban in Olmsted County at 8:00 am on Thursday, September 7, 2023.
Burn permit holders in Olmsted County are required to check the DNR website for current burn restrictions before igniting a fire. Residents of Olmsted County who are considering campfires and recreational fires are encouraged to practice safeguards to ensure the spread of those fires does not happen. Any member of the public can access burn restriction information at the web link above.
