Sheriff's Office in Search of Warrant Suspect on May 6th, 2021
The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office in seeking more information on warrant suspect Andrew Maylon Gustafson.
Name: Andrew Maylon Gustafson
Date of Birth: May 15, 1990
Active Olmsted County Arrest Warrants:
- Felony First Degree Robbery (Warrant Issued on April 19, 2021)
- Felony Third Degree Burglary (Warrant Issued April 12, 2021)
On Thursday, May 6, 2021, at approximately 2:30 p.m., an Olmsted County Deputy was positioned on Weatherhill Road Southwest at 60th Avenue Southwest in Salem Township, when he saw a vehicle approaching northbound. The deputy saw that the driver appeared to be Gustafson, whom the deputy knew from previous law enforcement contacts. The deputy knew that Gustafson was wanted for two active Olmsted County arrest warrants (see above). Gustafson sped away and was unable to be located by Olmsted County Deputies that had responded to the area to help search for Gustafson.
At approximately 3:00 p.m., a resident from the 200 block of 63rd Avenue Southwest reported that a vehicle matching the one driven by Gustafson had driven southbound on 63rd Avenue Southwest from Country Club Road Southwest. Deputies responded to the area and located the vehicle that was believed to be operated by Gustafson, behind a private residence. Due to the large wooded area that a person could easily flee into, a large perimeter was established, and a search began. The search included multiple Olmsted County Deputies along with two Olmsted County K9’s, Rochester Police Officers, and air assistance from the Minnesota State Patrol helicopter. After searching the area for a significant period of time, deputies were unable to locate Gustafson.
If someone knows where Gustafson is at the present time, please contact 911. If you wish to provide information, please contact us through our Crimestoppers page or by calling 1.800.222.TIPS (8477).
