Advisory board interview process changing for 2024
Interviews to occur twice a year – April and October
Effective immediately, Olmsted County is making changes to its advisory board recruitment and interview process.
What is changing?
- Moving forward, in-person interviews of potential advisory board candidates will occur twice a year; for 2024, those interviews will take place in April and October. Previously, advisory board candidates were interviewed throughout the year when there was an advisory board opening available.
- In-person interviews of advisory board candidates will happen outside of county board meetings. Previously, advisory board applicants were interviewed during county board meetings.
- The full board won’t be interviewing candidates; just two commissioners will take part in the interview process.
Why is this change being made?
Olmsted County is making this change to streamline the process and be more flexible with potential advisory board candidates, so they don’t need to take time off work to be interviewed during county board meetings.
