Help sexual assault victims – Become a Victim Services crisis line volunteer
The Dodge-Fillmore-Olmsted Victim Services team is looking for volunteers to help staff its 24/7 crisis line. The crisis line generally serves victims of sexual assault, but also receives calls from victims of general crime. Sexual assault can happen to anyone and when it does, knowing there is someone to turn to can make all the difference in the world for victims and their families.
If you are interested in becoming a Victim Services crisis line volunteer, please complete the volunteer application by July 5, 2021. Interested applicants must live within a 30-minute response time to Mayo Clinic’s St. Mary’s Emergency Department. For more details, visit the Crisis Line Volunteers Information page on our website.
All volunteers will be required to complete a 40-hour training session. In-person training will be occurring at the Olmsted County Government Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. from July 13 through August 12, 2021.
