One of Olmsted County’s strategic priorities is community safety and well-being … and mental health is an important part of both. Olmsted County is committed to offering and partnering to provide mental health resources and responses to help improve quality of life for residents in our communities.
Our new video – Olmsted County’s commitment to mental health – highlights these mental health supports and services … from training, outreach, and online resources to staff fully dedicated to mental health.
In the video, you’ll learn more about:
- The county’s community outreach specialists who work with law enforcement to help respond to people experiencing mental health crises.
- The Southeast Regional Crisis Center and the certified peer support specialists there.
- Mental health first aid training offered to county employees and community organizations.
- CredibleMind, a digital platform that helps people with their mental health and well-being.
You’ll also hear firsthand from an Olmsted County resident who found the help she needed through the county when she was experiencing a mental health challenge.
