2025 Plant Kit and Seed Mix Sale
The Olmsted Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is pleased to once again offer seed mixes and plant kits for the public to purchase on the SWCD sales website.
The sale begins today and will close at the end of April 2025. It is a first-come, first-served basis and plant kits may run out.
All seed mixes are comprised of local-ecotype seed native to Minnesota featuring grass/sedge and wildflower components. The plant kits are one flat, containing 36 plugs of six different species specially designed for the rusty patched bumble bee, rain gardens, buckthorn replacement, woodlands, monarch butterflies, shorelines and a variety of prairie plantings. Further descriptions can be found at www.olmstedswcd.org.
Pickup of seed mix and plant kits will occur in mid-May 2025 at Graham Park. Detailed pickup information will be provided to all customers closer to that time.
Please use the SWCD sales website for the easiest method of purchase. Anyone unable to access the website may stop into the Olmsted Soil and Water Conservation office Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to request an order form at 1188 50th St. SE Rochester, MN 55904.
