Olmsted County Public Health Services launches weekly COVID-19 situational update
Effective August 23, 2021 and until further notice, Olmsted County Public Health Services (OCPHS) will be publishing a COVID-19 situational update to the Olmsted County COVID-19 webpage. The situational update will be published to the page once a week, generally on Wednesdays. The data includes a statistical chart to visualize the onset of COVID-19 outbreaks and a weekly case count graph. The weekly situational update includes Olmsted County’s daily and seven-day rolling average numbers of COVID-19 cases.
OCPHS also links to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) COVID-19 tracker. The CDC presents vaccination rates, seven-day case totals, and data on positivity, deaths, testing volumes, and new hospital admissions.
Olmsted County’s website also provides links to the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) COVID site as another COVID-19 resource. MDH’s COVID-19 situation update includes daily updates of COVID-19, testing, Minnesota case overviews, demographics, likely exposure, residence, and the vaccine breakthrough report. The MDH COVID-19 vaccine data website includes state and county-level vaccine data broken down by age and gender.
OCPHS created the situational update to provide information without duplicating data generated by MDH and the CDC.
