County State Aid Highway 5 (2nd Ave NW) Road Closure in Byron

BYRON, Minn. – Olmsted County Public Works is announcing the following utility project beginning May 24, 2021 in Byron.

Utility work on County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 5 (2nd Ave NW) requires a road closure at the intersection of CSAH 5 and 2nd St NW starting Monday, May 24.  Work is anticipated to be completed by Friday, July 2. A detour will be signed while the work is being completed.  Bituminous paving will be done at a later date and under traffic with the use of flaggers. DeCook Excavating is the prime contractor for completing the utility work.

Reminder: All roadway users are reminded to always travel with caution, and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones. Please reduce your speed and proceed with caution through these work zones.
