Olmsted County Road Construction to begin at the end of June
Bituminous Reclamation and Overlay Work on County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 7, CSAH 30, and CSAH 32 to begin June 28, 2021.
Bituminous reclamation and overlay work is scheduled to begin along the following sections of roadway:
- CSAH 7 and County Road (CR) 142 within the city limits of Eyota
- CSAH 7 between Trunk Highway (TH) 14 and CSAH 9
- CSAH 7 between CSAH 9 and CSAH 2
- CSAH 30 between CSAH 10 and TH 74 (in Winona County)
- CSAH 32 between CSAH 10 and TH 14
Work will be completed one lane at a time, with traffic being controlled through the use of flagging operations.
Construction on CSAH 7 and CR 142 in Eyota includes underground utility work on 5th Street SE. This work is anticipated to occur in mid-July, at which time the road will be closed to traffic and a detour established. An updated press release will be provided prior to road closure.
Rochester Sand & Gravel is the prime contractor for the $4,095,000 project. Construction is anticipated to be complete by October 30, 2021.
Motorists should expect delays and seek alternative routes.
Reminder: All roadway users are reminded to always travel with caution, and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones. Please reduce your speed and proceed with caution through these work zones.
