- Register at the polls
- Preregistration closes 20 days before each election. If you haven't preregistered, you can register when you vote, either at your polling place on Election Day or when voting early. You need to provide acceptable proof of residence when registering when you vote. More information on what is needed to register at the polls is on the Minnesota Secretary of State’s website.
“As we enter another election year, now is a great time to confirm that your voter registration is up to date,” said Olmsted County Associate Director of Property Records and Licensing Kathryn Smith. “Verifying that your address is correct will ensure that you receive election mail. Following redistricting, you may receive a postcard with polling location information.”
Rochester City Clerk Kelly Geistler shares, “The City of Rochester and Olmsted County encourage all eligible voters to take this time and ensure they are registered to vote. As the community’s elections officials, we are already working hard to ensure all our residents have a fair and smooth elections process.”
