Roadway Closure along County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 4 and County Road (CR) 158 to begin on April 19, 2023
Olmsted County Public Works is announcing the following road updates beginning next week.
Roadway construction work on CSAH 4 (Valleyhigh Road NW), as part of the CSAH 4/CSAH 44 project to begin on April 19, 2023. Traffic will be reduced to one lane on CSAH 4 using a portable signal at the CR 158 intersection. CR 158 from CSAH 4 to the north will also be closed during this stage as a 500-foot section is being realigned to match into the new roadway.
This section of roadway is anticipated to be open to normal traffic in approximately a month and a half.
Along with this project, additional roadway construction on CSAH 44 (60th Ave NW) will continue with the closure of CSAH 44 (60th Ave NW) between CSAH 4 and 55th St NW and CSAH 4 and 19th St NW to the south. A detour will remain in place until surfacing gets placed and traffic can be routed onto the new roadway in June.
Fitzgerald Excavating and Trucking, Inc. is the prime contractor for the $19,500,000 regrading/reconstruction project.
The traveling public should expect delays and seek alternative routes if possible.
Reminder: All roadway users are reminded to always travel with caution, and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones. Please reduce your speed and proceed with caution through these work zones.
