Roadway Closure along County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 44 (60th Ave NW) to begin on April 12, 2023
Roadway construction work on CSAH 44 (60th Ave NW), as part of the CSAH 4/CSAH 44 project, is scheduled to begin on April 12, 2023. A closure of the intersection of 51st St NW / 60th Ave NW is required due to underground utilities being installed.
A temporary access will be constructed utilizing Sandstone St NW for the Pebble Creek development on the west side of 60th Ave NW. Access to this development will be from the North on 60th Ave NW. A detour will utilize internal streets to access Kingsbury Dr. NW and Gatehouse Dr. NW to the south of 51st St NW off 60th Ave NW. The closure and temporary access are expected to be in place for approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
CSAH 44 (60th Ave NW) from 19 St NW to CSAH 4 (Valleyhigh Drive NW) will remain closed until surfacing can be completed as weather allows this spring. An official detour is provided for this closure as shown in the map below. This section of roadway is anticipated to be open to traffic in June 2023.
Additional information on closures will be provided as this project progresses through multiple stages this summer. Final completion is planned for the end of October 2023.
Fitzgerald Excavating and Trucking, Inc. is the prime contractor for the $19,500,000 regrading/reconstruction project.
Motorists should expect delays and seek alternative routes.
Reminder: All roadway users are reminded to always travel with caution, and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones. Please reduce your speed and proceed with caution through these work zones.
