Olmsted County adding vital records, notary, and ministry credential services to its online check-in system on December 29
Effective December 29, 2020, anyone needing help from Olmsted County related to vital records (birth certificates, death certificates, and marriage licenses), notary, or ministry credential (ordination) services, should use the Olmsted County Online Check-in System to schedule an arrival time.
In May 2020, the Olmsted County Property Records and Licensing (PRL) department launched the online check-in system for driver’s license, state IDs, and passport services. The system is being expanded to include vital records, notary, and ministry credential services on December 29. Through the Olmsted County Online Check-in System, residents can schedule an arrival time to receive help from the county.
The Olmsted County Online Check-in System was implemented as a solution to comply with COVID-19 guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Minnesota Department of Health. This new system is an innovative way for Olmsted County’s PRL team to provide service to customers while limiting congregation around the PRL service counter in the Olmsted County Government Center and ensure appropriate physical distancing of six feet between individuals.
“Our Olmsted County Online Check-in system has increased efficiencies, enhanced the client experience, and minimized lines of people in our Government Center building,” said Director of Olmsted County PRL Mark Krupski. “We are excited to expand this technology to more of our PRL service areas.”
Note: Users will not see vital records, notary, or ministry credential services reflected in the Olmsted County Online Check-in System until the morning of December 29.
