Reconstruction of County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 4 (Valleyhigh Road NW) between CSAH 5 and County Road(CR) 158 to begin July 19, 2021.
ROCHESTER, Minn.- Hoffman Construction is the prime contractor for the $9,800,000 project, which includes grading and concrete surfacing on CSAH 4, and realignment of CR 105 going into Oxbow Park. Construction is anticipated to be complete by August 12, 2022. Grading, culvert work and aggregate surfacing is anticipated to be completed by mid-November, 2021 with concrete paving taking place in Spring of 2022. CSAH 4 will to be closed to through traffic until mid-November 2021 and will be open to travel until Spring of 2022.
The CSAH 4 project will be completed in two phases with the following closures in place:
- Phase 1: CSAH 4 (Valleyhigh Rd NW) will be closed 300’ east of CSAH 5 to CR 158, with a detour (shown on included map) that will allow for traffic to access CR 105 from CSAH 5.
- Phase 2: CSAH 4 (Valleyhigh Rd NW) will be closed from CSAH 5 to CR 158 with the intersection of CSAH 3 open for cross traffic. County Road 105 will also be closed from CSAH 4 to south of Oxbow Park. A signed detour for Oxbow Park traffic will be posted during this phase.
Phase 1 includes an official detour being placed as shown below in the Detour Map. Another press release will be sent out prior to the Phase 2 detour being placed.
Motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes.
Reminder: Motorists are reminded to always drive with caution, and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones. Please reduce your speed and proceed with caution through these work zones.
