Roadway work on CSAH (County State Aid Highway) 1 (Simpson Road SE) at the TH (Trunk Highway) 52 and CSAH 1 interchange will begin September 7
Concrete resurfacing work is moving into the next phase with removal of the existing pavement on CSAH 1 at the TH 52/CSAH 1 interchange. This work will be completed by shifting traffic into the southbound lanes of CSAH 1.
Ramps will remain open, but lane reduction and lane shifts will take place. The section of CSAH 1 south of the TH 52 interchange to CR 101 will remain closed to through traffic, as shoulder paving and roundabout work at the intersection of CSAH 1/CR 101 continues.
An official detour is in place as shown on the map below. All work is anticipated to be completed by November 1.
Doyle Conner Company is the prime contractor for the $2,500,000 CSAH 1 resurfacing project.
Motorists should expect delays and seek alternative routes.
Reminder: Motorists are reminded to always drive with caution, and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones. Please reduce your speed and proceed with caution through these work zones.
