Friends of Chester Woods is a nonprofit organization that supports the educational, environmental, and recreational goals of Chester Woods County Park. With this mission, FOCW has an active role with the park staff to enhance the park user experience. Through volunteer leadership, the FOCW has helped with restoring many acres of the park to its native prairie, sponsors many events that bring people of all ages and abilities out to the park, and has helped to create two tree identification trails to help everyone learn more about native Minnesota trees.
