Youth Behavioral Health
Youth Behavioral Health serves Olmsted County youth, ages 3-18 (or up to 21, if in extended foster care) and their families struggling with mental health or behavioral concerns, parent-child conflicts, truancy, or substance abuse on a voluntary basis.
Case Managers act as advocates and assist in coordinating community-based services designed to help the youth and their families improve overall functioning.

Who is eligible
Children's Mental Health services are available to children ages 3 to 18. Qualifying factors may include:
- Identified as having Severe Emotional Disturbance (SED) as defined by Minnesota Statute
- Is an Olmsted County resident
- At risk of being placed or admitted to an in-patient or residential treatment program
- Experiencing seriously impaired functioning at home, school or in the community as a result of their severe emotional disturbance
- Currently involved in two or more systems of care
Intake process

The family contacts the intake worker to see if they qualify for services

- The child's current mental health assessment is required to assist the intake worker to determine available services
- The intake worker may meet with the family if deemed appropriate to discuss possible services and to complete the intake process
- If appropriate, a case manager can be assigned
Referrals
We are not accepting referrals from outside providers at this time. Families may contact us directly at 507-328-6875 to initiate an intake for services.
