Gil Domally to fill Child and Family Services director role
Gil Domally will continue his career with Olmsted County as the next department director for Child and Family Services (CFS). Gil will officially begin the role on December 30, 2024.
This news follows the announcement of Amy Rauchwarter’s move to deputy administrator of the Health, Housing, and Human Services (HHH) division on November 4, 2024. Rauchwarter previously served as CFS director for the county.
As CFS director, Domally will lead the department in serving youth and families in our community through thoughtful and innovative practices with a focus on family strengths and early intervention.
Domally is a licensed graduated social worker. He joined Olmsted County in 2022 and most recently worked as a family support team program manager in Child and Family Services. Domally has served children and families in a variety of capacities over the past 25 years. His experiences include youth counseling, fatherhood programming, early intervention and child protection case management, and child welfare program management.
“Gil is a thoughtful and respected leader with a great deal of leadership experience and passion for serving families,” said Rauchwarter. “I am excited to welcome him to this new role and as part of the HHH senior leadership team.”
Domally’s move creates a program manager vacancy on the CFS Family Support Team. That position will be posted as soon as possible.
