New videos highlight Drug and Alcohol Response Team’s impact in fighting substance abuse
The Minnesota Department of Human Services has released a series of new videos showcasing the work of the Olmsted County Drug and Alcohol Response Team (DART), funded by opioid settlement dollars. These videos highlight the team’s impact since its launch in November 2023, with DART making over 2,700 contacts, helping 450 people, and collaborating with 156 community partners.
The videos also capture DART's critical role in responding to 911 overdose calls, where 93% of those contacted accepted support after an overdose. Additionally, DART’s efforts have resulted in 150 individuals being admitted to treatment, and one in three clients have been able to access recovery services.
