Food, Water, & Air
Olmsted County's Environmental Health staff provides residents with a range of services to protect the public's health. We work with:
- Business owners to identify and address health risks in public facilities. These include food service (restaurants, cafeterias, special event food stands, and others), lodging, public swimming pools, manufactured home parks, and campgrounds. Staff review plans for new facilities before construction.
- Members of the public by examining foodborne illness reports, responding to complaints about public facilities and public health nuisance conditions, consulting on indoor air & vector-borne disease prevention, including Lyme Disease, and cleaning up former methamphetamine labs.
- We offer testing services for drinking water and radon.
