Administration
Implements policy and oversees the delivery of county services.
Organizational leadership
Olmsted County government leadership is comprised of a county administrator and two deputy administrators (one that oversees the Health, Housing, and Human Services division and one that oversees the Physical Development division).
The role of the county administrator is to make recommendations to the county board, implement county policies, provide leadership to the Olmsted County government organization, and ensure effective delivery of county services.
There are three divisions that make up Olmsted County’s organizational structure:
- Health, Housing, and Human Services.
- Physical Development.
- Internal Services (Directors in this division report directly to the county administrator).
Bios are available of our county leadership in Administration.
Additionally, we have two elected officials overseeing the county’s public safety and justice system – our sheriff and county attorney.
